must have been tired...
today when I walked in to work, David was showing us this email which was a devo put out by one of our students. We got into a rather lengthy theological discussion amongst ourselves as we found ourselves a little uncomfortable with the devotion. During the discussion, I glanced over and realized that we had a volunteer receptionist. We all share an office, so she can hear everything we are saying; including our opinions about the whole situation. I began to feel a little uncomfortable, b/c the subject was a little more confidential than I thought we were treating it in front of this receptionist that I didn't recognize. When the discussion was heating up (and winding down) I walked over to start making some coffee...broke mid sentence...and asked the receptionist, "what's your name." I wanted to introduce myself. To my surprise, she turned and looked at me and I instantly realized that it was our regular paid receptionist. She had simply got a new hair cut/style. I never got a good look at her face while I was at my desk and didn't say anything to her before asking her name. I was a little embarassed. It just took me by surprise. Everyone (including her) laughed at me for about 5 minutes.

Later John and I trapped David in the bathroom and sung to him "come sail away" by Styx. It was a special moment.
