my bike...your house

when I got on my bike this afternoon I noticed a couple strands of webbing flowing between the handle bars and side-view mirrors. It isn't uncommon, you know, to deal with spider webs when riding a bike. What happened next was a little more interesting. As I was pulling away from our apartment building, I noticed a small spider resting on the face of the left side-view mirror. Even though that was a safe place to ride for a spider, he decided to move up to the top edge to get a little wind in his face. I kept thinking a gust of wind would blow him off and down into my shirt where he could bite me, and it was freaking me out a little (i was thinking he'd probably bite me in the nipple). But he held on like a champ, moving ever so slightly whenever I came to a stop. That little guy rode with me all the way to work where I snatched the digital camera. He looks kinda gross in the picture. If you click on the pic, you can see a super sized picture of what appears to be a tiny monster. So you see, humans and animals can live together in sweet, sweet harmony...if he's still there when I leave tonight, I'll probably squash him.
