okay...I'll explain myself.
I apologize that most recent post was so lame. I hated writing it, but I was thinking about the good old days when Spaceghost and friends were so funny. I just couldn't get enough of Brak and his wonderfully crafted songs like the one listed below. I watched the show, listened to the CDs, had the t-shirt, and loaded down my computer with all the best/funniest sound bytes coming straight from the cartoon world of Spaceghost. I remember we laughed so hard about all of it, and we even could be heard throughout the dorm (among "#5's" and "pumpkin pies") quoting our favorite incoherent phrase that we'd borrowed to make ourselves seem so much funnier. It's great, if you can memorize something funny (and have good timing) you don't have to be all that funny yourself. But where is Spaceghost now? I still think its funny, but it is a lot like gum that you've chewed for longer than 30min...it has lost its flavor. It's the kind of thing that I would think and say in response, "yeah, that's funny." But I'm not going to laugh.
Well, spaceghost has passed on and something new came into the picture...Homestarrunner! What a glorious website that has brought us a similar formula of random humor, character voices, and hilarious situations. All wrapped up in a neat package of flash technology that made it enjoyable to watch cartoons again. That funny homestar, he always has something crazy to say...oh and strong bad...his emails crack me up. Well, they used to anyways. Recently I have not been paying much attention to the site, because as it was with spaceghost, so now it is with homestar. Funny? Yes. Old chewing gum? Absolutely. So I guess I'll go on chewing for now, but I wonder when the next flavor will come along...or maybe it has, and I haven't discovered it yet.
