adventures in calling (part 4)
some more observations...
you can feel like a lab rat trying to find your way out of a subdivision...why do they build them like that? Somebody was cross-eyed when they laid out those road design.
some people must have to report a good deal of missing mail b/c they have no number posted anywhere visible on their mailbox or house. Good thing I always carry a Sharpie...I helped a few folks out who had white, unmarked mailboxes.
maybe the trick is to take your puppy and smack it every time someone rings the doorbell or knocks. Then the dog will grow up trained to run away whenever someone comes for a visit. It seems that yelling and kicking at the dog when it's already grown isn't a good method.
students don't live in apartments...I was reminded of this again last night. I didn't knock on any doors this time.
the bigger and more expensive the house, the less likely I have either met the student or the student is involved in our ministry. I guess rich people don't need God b/c they have all that money.
Some people probably drive by 20 churches in order to attend our church. It must be something we put in the water...or communion cups.
13 more calls, and I am done...praise the Lord!
