Day 2
-i actually (thankfully) got quite a bit of work done today. Finished the video. Made lots of phone calls. Blah blah blah. Only two office days left.
-weather has been nice, so I've been riding my motor cycle almost everyday. Yesterday (tuesday), I saw two grown men riding on a smaller motorcycle. They were both dressed in a manner that reminded me of construction workers...tight pants, boots, flannel. The guy on the back seat had one arm around the waist of the guy in front with his hand resting firmly on the driver's stomach. It looked weird. What's funny, is that when they stopped, the guy in back didn't take his hand off the other guy's stomach out of sheer disgust (like I would have). He continued to cradle his buddy's midsection (again with only one arm). That looked even weirder. That's probably not a word.
-yesterday, on the same car ride, I saw a car that had been "tricked out" like you often see. It had ground effects, and a huge spoiler...just the kind of thing you'd expect to see a teenager driving. The awesome part of it is that the car was "tricked out" with cardboard and duct tape. The car's add-ons were flapping in the wind and nearly coming off at every bump and turn. What a great imagination and lack of pride (or attention).
-I had my last band practice last night. I had to tell a student to go home b/c he showed up an hour late. When situations like that happen, I wonder if some of the things I have tried to teach the students are really sinking in. These are the songs we are doing.
No One Like You
Everything
O Praise Him
Blessed Be Your Name
How Great Thou Art
Make a Joyful Noise
You'd be surprised at how well the students can play these.
-i sold my PC version of Final Fantasy VII on ebay. Got 36 bucks for it. I think it might be my favorite video game of all time...or maybe Final Fantasy III. It's a close call. And then there's Smash Bros., and Tetris Attack. What's your favorite?
