What next?
As of last Tuesday, I officially resigned from my position as assistant student minister at Harvester Christian Church. This Sunday morning, I announced it to the students in our worship service. Some were shocked, some were saddened, and some were out the door before I got off the stage. I am sure that over the next few weeks I'll be getting a lot of strange looks and probing questions. I haven't said much about the situation and I probably won't. I can say that it isn't because of some kind of moral fallout, and I haven't punched a student or anything. Nothing is wrong, and I am not in any kind of trouble. If by some chance you know why I am leaving, I would ask that you not discuss it with anyone nor reveal it on any kind of public forum (like a blog, for instance). At this point, I don't really want to discuss the matter publically, but I will at some point I'm sure.

Unfortunately, I am not sure where I am headed next, so I could really use some prayer and support in this area. I would like to stay in the area, but that may not be realistic. This is a good oportunity to take on a different type of ministry. I won't say that I won't do student ministry again, because I never planned on it in the first place and that's where God put me. I would like to pursue a more worship/media-driven ministry.

Anyways, I have known about this for about a week and a half, and I have been itching to post it. Sorry to keep everyone in the dark, but I had to wait for the news to go public at church first. If you really have a burning question, then feel free to call me and talk with me personally. Although I can't promise that I will talk freely about the situation. So, have a great day, and keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
