Happy Thanksgiving

I always feel like this holiday is sort of skipped over, and in many ways it really is, at least commercially.  Most will celebrate the day and quickly move on to the zerg of shopping - the thanks will be a blink compared to the songs, decorating, feasts, gifts, celebrations, spending, and attention given to Xmas.

So please make sure that sometime over the next few days you put away the work, turn off the video games, switch off the stereo, mute the football game, park the vehicles, close the book, set down the toy, silence the cell-phone, fold up the map [to the mall], ignore the laundry, hang up the tools, get out of the kitchen, get into the house, unplug your headphones, minimize the [this] browser, set aside the dishes, and join with each other and the millions who will be pausing to give thanks for the blessings in our lives.
