an apple a day...
I went to the Doc. today. Can't say it was a really pleasant visit. I actually waited about an hour and fourty five minutes until the doctor could see me...and I had an appointment. The reason the wait was so terrible, is because I found a lump on my stomach and was getting it checked out. I just wanted to get in there quick and have the doctor examine me so that I could either be relieved, or start giving my stuff away. I was concerned that I was developing a tumor (although unlikely considering my outstanding health - minus the hotwings and burgers that I eat almost everyday). I just wanted to be certain. After only a few minutes with doc, however, he said that he was about 90% sure that what I have is something called an imbilical hernia (sp). Thank God it isn't a tumor or my siamese twin making a late appearance. That was the good news. The bad news is that I still have to have surgery and hopefully sometime soon. So I have to put my more outgoing activities on hold for a while (working out and stuff). I think I will try to have the surgery sometime in september. I want to be completely healed and healthy by the time snowboarding season comes around. There is still a chance that what I have is something other than a hernia, but very doubtful. I have always wanted a washboard stomach, but recruiting my guts to help fill my existing muscle bound physique isn't exactly how I thought it would pan out. Anyways, a big sigh of relief, and I am looking forward to the doctor's putting me back together again.
