Would you notice...

Do you think you would notice if they never released Star Wars Episode III? When is the last time you watched episode one or two. Probably not recently. If there were budget cuts, or something just wasn't in place and the cancelled the third episode, would you even know (or care)? Don't get me wrong, I loved seeing Yoda tear things up in one of the final scenes in the most recent installment, but episodes I and II have left me with a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. I think Georgie forgot what made his movie so cool...they looked real. Episode I and II look cool, but they also look fake. If you are going to use that much CGI, hand me an xbox controller, because what you've created is a video game to watch. It is less believable. Okay, maybe walrusman was just a funny rubber mask with no moving parts, but who cares...it looked real. He had real slime and hair, and he was actually standing there. Okay, his mouth couldn't move when he talked, but that's okay since nobody knows what the walrus people would have looked while talking. And the ships...oh the ships! They were models that they moved the cameras past. Okay, kinda dumb, but still looking real. They look burnt, broken, used, dirty, and most important tangable. The computer ships look dirty too, but the eye can pick up on the computer graphics. Wouldn't it actually have been cheaper to make the movie with the models? Don't know. If they had made the new movies using the old techniques, they might have made a movie that looked outdated, but that's okay because all the people going to see them anyways are fuled by nastolgia(sp). The story is good, so you can get away with having outdated looks. However, if the looks are not the greatest, then they become too distracting, and nobody cares what the story is. So, even though I like the new kung-fu style of sabre slashing, give me my old starwars anyday...
