okay, the ski trip was a blast. Much to the delight of all the happy goers, we decided to get up at 4:30 am instead of an hour later as scheduled. And it was a huge payoff. We had plenty of time to ski, and we hand on two minor injuries. One kid almost bit off his tongue. I actually think that he bit through it, just didn't bite it off. Another kid got banged up a couple times and they had to take him down on the stretcher (behind the snowmobile) He ended up with a bad headace and much ridicule from his friends. Lucas did a great job with the devotionals. I guess if i were to say that I was disappointed with anything, it would be that my students are stuck up. They didn't make much effort to even communicate with the other group that was there. And it was mostly the girls. Very territorial. They suck at making friends. Oh well. In the midst of getting ready for the whole trip, i forgot to give to lucas the release of liability form to Lucas. This oh so special piece of paper is what allows minors to rent equipment. Oops. We spent the better half of an hour forging the kids' parent's signature. They looked pretty bad. I was for sure we'd get caught, but in the rush of the morning rental routine, I am sure those mountain employees just want to get the kids out there. Lucky us. I have to give mad props to my parents for all the preperation that they did so that we could stay at the church in Streator. They rock! Well, off to clean my office, because it looks like a pig sty in here. Peace.
Oh yeah, I know there are about two of you out there who might possibly frequent this blog (although i have no idea why). If you know how I could more personalize the format and appearance of this blog I would be very interested in compensating you for your time. Make outs if you are a girl....high fives if you are a guy.
