THINGS I LIKE
1. I like how the carpet has indents where the furniture has been sitting still for months.
2. I like how my bookshelves are dusty.
3. I like how I know where all my favorite restraunts are, and that I know the fastest way to get to them.
4. I like how I know 5 different ways to get from work to my home.
5. I like that I know my neighbor's name (John) and that I have had several converstaions with him while he's walking his giant dog (Lance).
6. I like how the maintainance crew always waves at me because I'm sure they recognize me.
7. I like how the employees at my local starbucks know what to start making when I walk in the door.
8. I like how I never make my bed...except when my mom is coming over.
9. I like how I am able to give driving directions to complete strangers.
10 . I like how I never have to guess which key opens which door at work.
11. I like how I can walk to Julie's because she lives next door.
12. I like how the area has a lot of golf courses, but I can only afford to go to one.
13. I like how I have one closet at home that has nothing in it except empty boxes.
14. I like how I can keep my guitar equipment stored in the sound closet at work.
15. I like how the couch (love seat) always looks like I just took a 45 minute nap on it.
What am I trying to say? I really like feeling moved in or comfortable. I don't like chage all that much. I don't like moving. I am really not looking forward to establishing a new church family and having to start building all new relationships. It has taken me 2 years to really start to feel comfortable and 'moved in' around here and now I'm leaving. Good thing I have a closet full of empty boxes.
