JUST WRITING SOMETHING TO KEEP FROM BEING STALE

-I bought a new Bible. It has wide margins and lines at the bottom of every page for taking notes. I think this is a good idea so I can be a bit more interactive with my Bible reading. Hopefully I won't get too caught up looking for "nuggets of wisdom" while I'm trying to read. I hate that I do that.

-For some odd reason, I have been thinking about the fact that I like pretzel sticks more than regular pretzels. This baffles me.

-Whilst I was purchasing the previously mentioned Bible, I happened upon many Xian trinkets that are (in my opinion) a perfect example of the marketability/exploitation of the Faith. Annointing oil is sold right next to "Bible Scents," an assortment of bath soaps. Scripture candy - each mint is individually wraped in God's Sweet Message. Xian "pocket pieces" - just pewter stones (with crosses, etc.) commonly called "worry stones." Xian mood rings - each color represents either joy, love, peace, etc. Of course they had the entire Left Behind Series. Basically, just look around your house at the things you have, imagine them with a cross or Bible verse on them, and you'll get a good picture of what kinds of things this store carries. Unfortunately, there are no Xian iPods. I shouldn't complain too much, I bought a sticker that says "clergy" on it for my guitar case.

-I have been thinking about turning some of my more editorial type posts into mini podcasts. I'd call them blogcasts. Since nobody lives around here, it is tough to get a partner for a full show. I'm having serious down time from the camping one.
