took a break
I haven't written in this blog for a week. I have been on vacation for the past 5 days. I just got back yesterday morning. My time off was great! I had a wonderful time in CO visiting my best friend and getting in some intense snowboarding...well, intense for me anyways. It was good to get away and put my worries behind me for a while. I think Andi got the impression that I didn't have a very good time, but she doesn't realize how much of a joy it was for me to hang out with her like old times. I really miss her. Oh, just to reflect on some of the weekend's awesomeness...I went snowboarding...2 times...in Colorado...at Breckenridge and Keystone! Many of those words didn't mean anything to me until a couple of days ago. Now I don't know if I'll be able to snowboard anywhere else and be quite as happy. Oh and i didn't mention that it snowed the entire time we were in the mountains. It was incredible - 2 days of snowing non stop. You can imagine that the second day of boarding was good. That's an understatement. There was about 8 inches of fresh powder and it felt like we were riding on water because it was so smooth. Fun stuff. I just read over my blog up until now and realized that my writing skills have been diminished to that of a junior high boy trying to make sure he gets enough words to fulfill the requirements of his 100 word essay. Somehow after my vacation i have either become dumber, or my mind has slipped into mediocrity preventing me from articulating sentences that are above a 4th grade reading level. Or it is still kinda early in the morning and I haven't woke up yet! Anyways...
Thank you, blog, for eagerly awaiting my return to the digital world.
Thank you, fellow bloggers, for not rallying against my absence from writing (i know how annoying it is to constantly visit an un-updated blog)
Thank you, Andi, for a wonderful vacation (we'll do it again I'm sure)
Thank you, Mom and Dad, for visiting when i was on vacation so I couldn't see you (ah sarcasm!)
Thank you, John Tischer, for not updating your blog ever so that I don't feel as bad for not updating mine
Thank you, Lucas, for writing about McGruff the former crime dog.
Thank you, God, for all of life's wonderful experiences and how you blessed me through your natural created beauty and the relationships that are shared in its bounds.
